The Plant Provocateur is having a small, intimate Floral Workshop for Mother's Day.  Come experience The Plant Provocateur style of floral design with Mom or just yourself.  This workshop serves as an experience to take a moment and immerse yourself into a state of beauty, creativity, and relaxation.

Each participant will make (1) Cut Flower arrangement (aka 'Floral Art' )to take home and love.  A beautiful bounty of hand-selected flowers, foliage, and other flora will be provided. Tools and vessels will also be provided.  As part of the workshop process I will share some of my own insights into what techniques and tricks I use when creating my floral art.

The Plant Provocateur will be having a Tillandsia 'Air Plant' Workshop and Giveaway on Saturday, March 25th from 12noon-2pm.  You know Tillandsia?  Those cool, easy-to-care-for, low maintenance, stylishly sculptural, small blooming plants that don't need soil to grow and can live almost anywhere.

This workshop will present different types of Tillandsia, show you how to grow, care for, and display them.  Participants will also get to make and take home a Tillandsia sculpture, plus receive a bonus Tillandsia, and a free copy of one of the best Tillandsia books available 'Air Plants The Curious World of Tillandsias - Grow | Design | Craft.'  This is a hands-on workshop so come prepared to work with plants.

This is a workshop for those truly interested in connecting intuitively with flora!  Lili teaches you how to create dynamic floral arrangements with movement in mind.  She will lead participants through a colorful workshop exploration paying close attention to the manner in which movement can inform flowers.  Together you will create 1-2 arrangements which will focus on technique, as well as, manifest through your spirits as you look closely at how movement in nature informs your style.

The Plant Provocateur aka Hank Jenkins will be giving a Second Thursday Garden Talk at The Huntington Botanical Gardens on Thursday, October 8th!  The lecture will be from 2:30pm-3:30pm in the Ahmanson Room, Brody Botanical Center.  This event is FREE and requires no reservations. 

I will be sharing tips for taking the drab out of your drought-tolerant plant palette by introducing a colorful array of water-wise Australian native plants.  These plants are perfect for the Southern California garden.  Many of the plants discussed will be featured at the annual HBG Fall Plant Sale on Oct. 23-25.
