Can I tell you just how much I love Kale! I mean LOVE it. Give it to me raw, juiced, sautéed, or roasted. Who knew what some people consider to be a bitter leafy green could cook up so nice and tasty. The other thing I like about it is that it looks so amazing growing in a garden. The textures alone of the different kinds of Kale leaf are so cool. There's Kale 'Toscano' or 'Lacinato' with its bumpy bumps of tasty textural joy. This Kale has a cool blue green sheen and cooks up beautifully. Try it in stir fry. Then there's Kale 'Red Russian' with its super-sized leaves and pleasingly purple veins. Yeah, when it comes to plants, veins can be cool. Last up is one of my favorites to cook with... Kale 'Winterbor' with its crazy curls and crunchy goodness. I love this one raw in Kale salads or sautéed. Simply put, I can't get enough of Kale. It's super easy to grow, looks super groovy growing out in the garden, and is a super tasty leafy green packed with a healthy hit of antioxidants as well as vitamins K, A, and C.
