I love to surround myself with things that smell good. Smells that are relaxing yet exhilarating. When I come across a plant that has an exotically attractive scent it needs to be in my world! I have a few favorites and one such favorite is the seductively pleasant scent of Heliotropium arborescens commonly known as Heliotrope. It's a shrub from South America that produces tiny clusters of violet, blue, or white flowers that produce a delicately rich scent of warm vanilla with the slightest hint of cinnamon. I refer to this scent as deep honey. It usually gives off its intoxicating perfume in the brightness of the morning or the languid light of a late afternoon. Find this plant. Bring it into your world. Let the allure of its scent enthrall you.
